Sal (vocalist, guitar, bass, keyboard) was born into rock and roll in the 50's after hearing Elvis, Bobby Darrin, Dion, Brenda Lee, The Four Seasons and The Four Tops. Then The Beatles, Stones and Dave Clark Five in the 60's. Always loving and playing guitar, Sal found inspiration and drew perspiration from Eric Clapton, Santana and Stevie Winwood. Melt all those influences and countless others from folk music, country music and the blues, and you will end up with the big hunk of music called Sal Basile. The opportunity to play with Dave in Dually Noted brings extreme joy and pride to Sal. He knows what an energy and drive Dually Noted bring to their gigs, and Dually Noted listeners and dancers can attest to that! Recently retired after 35 years as an English teacher in the Hartford school system, Sal has more time and energy to devote to singing, playing guitar, bass and piano, and we hope you all come out to join in the fun, too!

Dave (bass, keyboard, guitar, vocals) has been playing in the Connecticut area since he was 14 years old, originally trained in clarinet, saxophone and oboe. Growing up, he was heavily influenced by The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and The Four Seasons, as well as big band music. In the past, he has worked for both the Jarvis and Landerman agencies, playing virtually all types of music. As a member of Group Therapy, a 5 piece wedding/party band, Tune Train, a 6-piece children’s group, or Strictly Swing, an 18 piece swing band, Dave has enjoyed lending his skills to help entertain audiences. In addition to Dually Noted, he also has filled in as a pit musician for productions of “The Music Man” , “Oklahoma”, and “Beauty and the Beast”, to name a few, as well as filled in with several jazz groups. Whether playing his driving bass lines, synthesizer, or energetic guitar, Dave looks forward to every opportunity to make music with Sal in Dually Noted.
